A Senior Waiter
How many customers do we have booked for tonight? Who will be working where? Is everything on the menu? Who are the VIP’s? What are their likes and dislikes?
After we are given the answers to these questions, along with the special dishes of the day, we are ready to start…
After a quick “Hello” and “How are you” to the waiters, headwaiters, baristas and barmen, we are ready. At the same time we set up the tables. I put the cloth on, my colleague puts the cutlery down, another person brings the glasses and we make sure that everything is perfect within seconds.
The customers are arriving, and the smiles on our faces are as wide as ever. Menu, bread, drinks... everything is ready for a brilliant night.
The Wolseley has its own, unique way to do everything so we do not have to worry about anything else, just follow the prescribed steps.
It might be a crazy evening, running the whole time to provide the best service and pay attention to the smallest detail for all the customers, or it can be calm and smooth. People keep arriving as we finish serving previous tables and all of them are happy through the entire meal. At the end, that is what really matters!
We are Senior Waiters, not only able to set up a table immaculately for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner, but to give our best throughout all services no matter what shift we do. The smile on the guest’s face shows what we are here for, and that is hospitality.
